My Story
I believe your primary care should feel unrushed, personal, and genuinely collaborative. I founded Fountain City DPC to give my patients time, access, and continuity that are hard to find in traditional insurance-based clinics.
During my years in busy outpatient practice, I cared for patients across the spectrum. I loved the relationships we built, but I saw how 10–15 minute visits, prior authorizations, and productivity quotas made it harder to give the thoughtful, evidence-based care my patients deserved.
Direct primary care is my answer to that problem. By stepping outside of insurance contracts, I can limit my panel size, respond directly to my patients, and focus on what actually improves health: careful listening, clear education, timely follow-up, and proactive prevention rather than rushed, fragmented visits.
Clinical Interests
My clinical background spans the full breadth of family medicine, with particular interest in metabolic health, obesity care, and women’s health across the lifespan. I routinely manage conditions such as type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and metabolic syndrome, and I enjoy helping patients simplify complex medication regimens while improving outcomes.
I also have a special passion for evidence-based obesity care. I work with patients to understand the metabolic, genetic, and environmental drivers of weight gain, and I use tools such as nutrition counseling, movement planning, behavioral strategies, and when appropriate, GLP‑1 and other pharmacologic therapies. My goal is to help patients improve metabolic health, energy, and quality of life.
In women’s health, I have extensive experience caring for patients through perimenopause and menopause, including evaluation of symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep disturbance, mood changes, brain fog, and genitourinary symptoms. I stay current with evolving evidence and professional society guidelines, and I offer thoughtful counseling on hormone and non-hormone options so that each woman can make an informed, comfortable decision about her care.
Personal Note
Outside of medicine, I live in Prattville with my husband and daughter. I enjoy home renovation projects and listening to mystery audiobooks. These interests keep me grounded and creative, and they remind me that health is about enjoying your everyday life—not just checking boxes on a lab report.
